Laurie Lippin, Ph.D., will be the featured speaker at the Alabama Association for Psychological Type, ALAPT, workshop on December 3rd, 2010.
Laurie is passionate about overcoming the negative results of racism and the “othering” of those we marginalize in any setting, that exclusivity that we all practice for a variety of reasons.
Through her experience as an MBTI qualifying trainer and familiarity with the Jungian personality type theory, as well as her focus on diversity, she provides insights to those in a variety of cross-cultural fields, including counseling, coaching, teaching, and organizational development.

Laurie B. Lippin, ENFP, is Equity Action, LLC co-founder, holds a PhD in Adult Education, a Master’s in Social Work, and is a regular part-time faculty member at the University of California Davis.
She is a former APTi Qualifying Instructor for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She is a graduate of the Newfield Network coach-training school and Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching.
Laurie co-authored (with Helfand) the 2001 publication Understanding Whitenesss/Unraveling Racism: Tools for the Journey, now updated and re-released as Unraveling Whiteness by Kendall/Hunt. The focus of her diversity work with Equity Action is to eliminate the negative results of racism and other oppressions. She believes this will be accomplished in our lifetime, by bringing about real behavior change on the part of employees, students, teachers and community leaders.
